King Dude maakt een werkelijk ongeëvenaarde mix van pikkedonker, occulte-geïnspireerde muziek gericht op de traditionele Amerikaanse folk en country muziek.

"Jesus In The Courtyard " is het meest bluesachtige nummer dat ik heb gehoord van King Dude (tot nu toe Smile ).
De elektrische gitaar wandelingen als een oude barrel over een onverharde weg als Cowgill diep dreunt, "He got the Devil around his finger / Jesus around his neck" alsof hij een "Tuvan" keelzanger is. De reverb bij het afronden van de "ohhhhhhh, Lord', als aasgieren op een vers karkas. Creepy....

Hoe cliché het ook is om seizoenen te gebruiken om muziek te classificeren : Winter is het meest ideale seizoen om de donkere folk van King Dude te ontdekken. De avonden zijn er lang genoeg voor. Very Happy
