Mijn beste films van het IFFR gaan op de een of andere manier over mannen / vrouwen die een verandering in hun leven ondergaan zonder dat ze doorhebben of willen. Wat zegt dat over mij?

Verder opvallend was dat de blikjes Coca Cola in Latijns-Amerika niet gebruikt worden om te drinken maar voor hele andere zaken. Vissen komen er over het algemeen nooit goed vanaf. Veel (onverwachts) onweer en regen. De zon schijnt alleen in Latijns-Amerika?!

Veel films met absurdistische / surrealistische elementen. Van Reality tot en met Stranded in Canton. Verder nog genoeg bovennatuurlijke elementen zoals mensen die 'opstijgen' na hun dood. Of mannen die zichzelf tegenkomen.

Twee jaar geleden heerste Grandrieux. Nu zag ik zeker twee films met referenties naar Weerasethakul en drie films die elementen uit Brakhage zijn oeuvre gebruiken en dan heb ik The Duke of Burgundy nog niet eens gezien.

Memorabele Q&A gehad met Pedro Costa. Jammer dat de film teveel een herhaling van zetten is. De eerste film uit het 'Sensory Ethnography Lab' die niet de moeite waard is. Altijd jammer.

Films die zich buiten afspelen hebben mijn voorkeur. Of het nu in een kaal landschap is of in de bossen. Dat komt wellicht omdat ik gewoon een 'buitenkind' was in mijn jeugd. En ik nu in een levensfase zit waar ik mijn vragen en antwoorden projecteer in Moeder natuur.

Waarschijnlijk mis ik nu nog het een en ander. Het was me weer een genoegen. Wel een aantal CT's gemist ... Smile

Al iets bekend over dit jaar?

Zelf zal ik waarschijnlijk niet gaan.

Nieuwe bedrijf leren kennen.
Soort van 2 jaarlijks congres met alle andere praktijken uit Zweden, Noorwegen, Denemarken, Oostenrijk en Nederland vanaf nu.

Alone, Tenemos la Carne, Motel Mist, The Bear Tales, Bella e Perduta en 11 Minutes kan ook iets voor jou zijn. En zorg dat je The Other Side gaat zien. Hele, belangrijke film.
