We kennen allemaal het opmerkelijke verhaal dat David Gordon Green eens vertelde enkele jaren geleden.
David is een talentvolle jonge regisseur die onder de hoede van Terrence Malick kwam en ze werkten samen aan de film Undertow.
Hij vertelde, zonder te blikken of te blozen dat Malick's favoriete film van de laatste tien jaar Stiller's Zoolander is.
Sterker nog, hij kijkt Zoolander wekelijks en kent elke stukje dialoog uit z'n hoofd als we Green mogen geloven.

Dacht je dat dit raar was?

Paul Thomas Anderson is gek op foute Adam Sandler films, hij is zo'n fan van Sandler dat hij hem vervolgens caste als lead voor Punch Drunk Love.

Een van de favoriete films van wijlen Stanley Kubrick was The Jerk, hij heeft lang met het idee rondgelopen om Steve Martin te casten in één van zijn volgende projecten, voornamelijk voor de hoofdrol in Eyes Wide Shut voordat Cruise in beeld kwam.

Robert Duvall noemde Apocalypto één van de beste films die hij de laatste 25 jaar heeft gezien.

Woody Allen houd van Bob Hope films.

David Fincher van een hele wasrij waarvan Animal House en Road Warrior misschien de meest opvallende namen zijn uit zijn top 20.

Wes Craven mocht in z'n jeugd niet veel films zien maar koestert mooie herinneringen aan Disney's Fantasia.

David Lynch heeft geen opmerkelijke verrassingen
