Andy Lau is de meest commercieel succesvolle filmacteur in Hongkong sinds de jaren 1990.

Recent viel hij nog in de prijzen voor Tao Jie (= A Simple Life) die bij ons in augustus in de bioscoop zal verschijnen.

Hij heeft een aantal sterke films op zijn lijst staan, zoals:

- Infernal affairs 2002
- House of the Flying Daggers 2004
- Warlords 2007
- Three Kingdoms 2008
- Shaolin 2011
