Ja, was in eerste instantie direct na Kill Bill al aangekondigt dat men 10 of 15 jaar later een deel 3 wilden maken met de dochter van The Bride in de hoofdrol

Nu maar hopen dat dit project ook daadwerkelijk van de grond komt.. Aangezien veel van zijn projecten dat maar niet voor elkaar kregen..
Twitchfilm berichtte hier gister ook over:

Trying to follow what Paul Verhoeven is about to do next could almost be the subject of a seperate column here at Twitch. Ever since "Black Book" was released back in 2006 he has announced project after project, all extremely enticing, without any of those actually coming to fruition.
Just after it was revealed that his next Dutch film would be the supernatural thriller "The Silent Force" (or rather "De Stlle Kracht", and I can't wait to see what he'll do with that source material) Variety posts news about a new American project, which is a supernatural thriller as well!
Apparently this new project will be "Eternal", with the current script being about a man cheating on his wife but discovering that his new lover is in fact an erotic female demon, also known as a succubus. Rewrites have been announced already, but Verhoeven filming a succubus seems too good to be true, right?
With all of his films being either genius, extremely controversial or often both, this source material seems to fit Paul Verhoeven like a (rubber) glove.
Time will tell if this is a heartfelt film for him or just a quick work-for-hire to secure funding for other projects, but filming should start mid-2011. Which leaves me a bit confused about his plans for "De Stille Kracht" to be honest.
Let's hope for the best and expect the worst. And we ARE talking about someone who is able to do both best and worst at the same time, often intentionally. Here's hoping he can also do both movies... |

Nieuwste project van Steven Spielberg : Robopocalypse.
Gebaseerd op een boek van Daniel Wilson ( verschijnt pas in juni 2011 ).
Script is van Drew Goddard ( Cloverfield ). Opnames beginnen in januari 2012 voor een vermoedelijke zomer release 2013.
We kunnen verder volgend jaar oktober Tintin en vermoedelijk in december War Horse verwachtten. |

Eindelijk wordt Abraham Lincoln verfilmd met niemand minder dan Daniel-Day Lewis, opnames startten in de herfst van 2011 voor een release eind 2012. |

Heath Ledger mogelijk in nieuwe Batman
De begin 2008 overleden acteur Heath Ledger krijgt mogelijk een rol in de nieuwe Batmanfilm. Dat gerucht doet deze week de ronde in Amerikaanse media.
De website Showbizspy.com meldt dat bronnen rond regisseur Christopher Nolan hebben laten weten dat die met de gedachte speelt om scènes die niet in 'The Dark Knight' verschenen in het volgende deel op te nemen.
De bron meldt dat Nolan met behulp van computertechnieken Ledger in de rol van The Joker wil inpassen in zijn nieuwe actiefilm. "Chris Nolan vindt continuïteit in zijn films belangrijk. En hij ziet het als eerbetoon aan Ledger", aldus een bron. Het zou niet om een prominente rol in de film gaan. "En Ledgers familie moet er natuurlijk toestemming voor geven", voegt de bron toe.
De werktitel van de volgende Batmanfilm, die gepland staat voor 2012, is 'Dark Knight Rises'. Ledger stierf bijna drie jaar geleden op 28-jarige leeftijd aan een overdosis slaappillen, kalmeringsmiddelen en pijnstillers.
